Privacy Policy

HOP Transnationales Netzwerk Odermündung e.V. takes the protection of personal data very seriously.

Personal data is to be understood as information such as name, address, telephone, email and other information necessary for the respective use, which can be assigned directly to a particular person. The handling of personal data is governed, in particular, by the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

At all times, HOP Transnationales Netzwerk Odermündung e.V. ensures that the relevant data protection requirements are complied with and the statutory time limits for storage are met. We undertake the necessary technical and organisational measures to this end.

I. Scope of application and supervisory authority

This information provides explanations about the nature and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider HOP Transnationales Netzwerk Odermündung e.V., Hafenstraße 3, 17438 Wolgast (Germany), Phone: + 49 178 35 36 37 7, email: martin@hop-transnet.org, on this website (hereinafter referred to as „Internet presence”). In case of questions or complaints, please do not hesitate to contact the responsible provide mentioned above.

II. Your rights with respect to personal data

By using our website, you declare your consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal data by us or the named providers in the described scope and manner, as well as for the stated purpose. In order to use certain offers or if we need further information from you, we ask you for your express consent. With regard to the collection, processing and use of personal data, you have the following rights to information, rectification, blocking, deletion, revocation and objection:

    • to receive upon request at any time without specifying reasons and free of charge information about your personal data stored with us;
    • to rectify, block or have deleted at any time within the legal provisions your personal data collected by us or contradict any processing or use or restrict the processing or use;
    • to revoke your consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal data at any time with effect for the future.
    • Further information about data protection and the processing of your personal data is available on request.

We will delete personal data that has already been stored unsolicited, if continued storage is no longer required. If deletion is contrary to legal, statutory or contractual retention periods, instead of deleting data, it shall be blocked.

III. Collection and processing of personal data

As a rule, you can use HOP e.V.’s website without specifying personal data. If you would like to donate, contact us or use our information offers, you are asked to enter the necessary data for processing. We ask you, for example, for your name and for some other personal information relevant to the respective type of use. Mandatory information is marked as such. Your data are sent to us via an SSL-secured connection and are stored on specially protected servers in Germany. Access to the data is only possible by a few specially authorized persons who deal with the technical or commercial support of these servers or who are commissioned with internal work processes. These persons have been instructed about data protection law and are committed to data secrecy. In no case will your personal data be passed on to third parties without your express consent. When entering personal data, you will be informed about the use thereof, and you must consent to such use.

In addition, we would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating via email) may have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible. Protected data should therefore only be transmitted via a secure connection (SSL).

IV. Storage of non-personal data

When you visit our website, data that has no direct personal reference is automatically stored in a log file with every page view:

  • the IP address of the requesting computer
  • date and time of access
  • the name and the URL of the retrieved page
  • the amount of data that is sent during page transmission
  • the access status (page transmitted, page not found, etc.)
  • data on the browser and operating system used
  • the web page from which access occurred

This data is stored to support and protect operation of the website, in particular to prevent attacks on protected data.

V. Inclusion of third-party services and content

On our website, third-party content, such as YouTube videos, Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, may also be included. This requires that providers of this content receive your IP address so they can send the respective content to your browser. We pay particular attention to the integrity of these contents, but we have no influence on these third-party providers or their data protection regulations.

VI. Cookies

Cookies are small information files that allow specific device-related information to be stored on your access device (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.). They serve to make websites more user-friendly and therefore more convenient for you (e.g. permanent storage of login data). On the other hand, they help us, for example, to record the statistical data of your website use and to analyse your data for the purpose of improving our offer. You can influence the use of cookies and/or must agree to their use. Most browsers have an option to restrict or prevent cookies from being stored. However, we would like to point out that the use and, in particular, the usability of the internet presence may be impaired without cookies. We currently use Cookie Script for cookie management.

VII. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses cookies. The cookie-generated information about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. Your IP address is anonymised. For this, we use an additional code line (_anonymizeIP ()) which deletes the last 8 bits of the IP addresses and thus allows only a rough localization.

Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities for website operators, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, provided this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google does not link your IP address to other Google Inc. data.

By using this website, you agree to have your collected data processed by Google in the manner described above and for the aforementioned purpose.

We would like to point out that web tracking software, such as Google Analytics, collects user data that can be used for the purpose of profiling.

The collection and storage of data by Google Analytics can be prevented at any time with effect for the future by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .

VIII. Note for parents or supervisors

Parents or supervisors are responsible for protecting the privacy of their children. We ask you to talk to your children about the safe and responsible handling of their own personal data on the Internet.

IX. Future changes

Further developments of the Internet or legislation may require adjustments to our privacy policy. We always make changes to our data protection guidelines at this point and recommend that you read them occasionally.
